Step 1

Preheat oven to 375° F.

Step 2

Remove cores from apples and peel away skin about 1-inch around top and cut small amount of bottom off to help them stand up. Place in a baking pan.

Step 3

Combine nuts and oats in a medium bowl. Place dulce de leche and butter in a small, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100%) power for about 30 seconds or until butter is melted. Whisk to combine. Stir mixture into oat and nut mixture. Spoon into cavities in apples and over top of apples. Cover with foil.

Step 4

Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until apples are soft.

Step 5

Serve warm drizzled with additional dulce de leche, if desired.
