Step 1
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Step 2
Make a caramel with the sugar and pour it into a non-stick round mold. For the cake, mix in a blender the cake mix, the 3 eggs one at a time, the vegetable oil, 1 can of NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk, and ½ cup of chopped walnuts until completely combined.
Step 3
For the flan, blend the NESTLÉ® LA LECHERA® Sweetened Condensed Milk with 1 can of NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk, 6 eggs, and the vanilla extract.
Step 4
Add the cake mixture to the mold and, using a spoon, gradually pour the flan mixture over it. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 °F for 1 ½ hours in a water bath. Allow to cool. Unmold, refrigerate for 2 hours, and garnish with whipped cream and the remaining walnuts. Enjoy.
Use silicone gloves when pouring the caramel into the mold to avoid burns. You can substitute walnuts with almonds.
