Step 1
Mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl until combined. Add butter; mash with a fork until mixture is crumbly. Add egg, vanilla extract and milk; continue mixing with a fork until a sticky dough forms. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Preheat oven to 350° F; line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place dough on a lightly floured surface; sprinkle with additional flour. Flatten dough with hands it to form a 1-inch-thick rectangle. Moisten and flour a 2-inch biscuit cutter; cut dough into rounds and place on prepared baking sheet. Repeat with rest of the dough and refrigerate for 5 minutes. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are golden brown. Remove and let cool completely.
Step 3
Cut scones in half and fill with dulce de leche. Enjoy!
