Make It
Step 1
Beat butter until creamy; beat in sweetened condensed milk, egg, flour and baking powder. Keep beating until you get a smooth dough. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Roll out dough with a rolling pin on a floured surface until it is about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the dough with a knife into a 12 x 8-inch rectangle. Draw and cut puzzle shapes. Place cookies on greased and floured baking sheet and bake at 350° F for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
Step 3
Lightly beat the egg white; gradually add powdered sugar, lemon juice and water, beating until well mixed. Separate mixture into four parts; color each part with different colors of food coloring. Place the mixtures in pastry bags with small tips or resealable plastic bags with a tiny corner snipped off. Decorate the cookies and let dry.
