What is MAGGI® Bouillon?
MAGGI® bouillon is dehydrated broth formed into either cubes or granules, for a convenient and delicious alternative to liquid broth. Use it to add body, flavor and zest to soups, stews, vegetables, pastas, gravy, rice and many other dishes. MAGGI® bouillon can also be served as an invigorating tasty hot broth drink.
Who created MAGGI® products?
The MAGGI® brand was invented by Julius Maggi in Switzerland, in 1884.
Are MAGGI® products in the US the same as you find in other countries?
Our products are different in every country. That is the beauty of MAGGI®! We work hard to give consumers around the world the authentic taste of home by using flavorings and spices tailored to the unique tastes of each country.
What is the correct pronunciation of MAGGI?
It depends on the country. In the US, we pronounce it with a ‘hard g’ as in ‘magnet’, but in some countries, it’s pronounced with a ‘soft g’ as in ‘magic’.

Are MAGGI® products gluten free?
Please check the ingredient statement on the product package for the most updated information about the product composition. While some products may be formulated without gluten-containing ingredients, unless the product is labeled as being “gluten free,” it has not been validated as being gluten free.
Are MAGGI® products allergen free?
In the United States, when a food product contains any of the eight major food allergens or classes of food allergens, this information is required to appear on the product ingredient statement, i.e., “Contains milk.” If you are an allergen-sensitive consumer, always be sure to check the ingredient statement on the product label to determine whether the product contains allergenic ingredients.

Are MAGGI® products halal?
MAGGI® Chicken Stock and Vegetable Stock cubes manufactured in Egypt are Halal certified and do not contain any actual animal product.
What is your definition of vegetarian?
Our vegetarian foods do not contain meat, poultry, fish or seafood, and/or any ingredients derived from these sources, such as stock or broth, gravy or sauces, lard, gelatin, or collagen. However, they may contain milk or dairy, eggs, and honey.

How do I use MAGGI® products?
Bouillon Cubes: Place unwrapped cube in a cup (8 oz.) and add boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Use in any recipe that calls for broth, bouillon or stock.
Instant or Granulated Bouillon: Using a regular teaspoon, place a level spoonful in a cup (8 oz.) and add boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Use in any recipe that calls for broth, bouillon or stock.
Bouillon Tablet: Dissolve one tablet in two cups (half a quart) of boiling water. Use in any recipe that calls for broth, bouillon or stock.
Liquid Seasoning: You can use MAGGI® liquid seasonings to bring out the flavor of soups, sauces, salads, rice, vegetables and meat. MAGGI® liquid seasonings can also be used as a marinade and in dressings – the options are endless.
How much MAGGI® bouillon or instant granules do I use to make one cup of broth?
You can use 1/2 bouillon tablet or 1 teaspoons of instant granules to make one cup of broth.
What's the difference between broth, stock, and bouillon?
Broth is a clear, flavorful liquid made by simmering beef, chicken, vegetables or other ingredients along with spices. It can also be conveniently made by dissolving a bouillon cube in hot water. The words broth and bouillon can be used interchangeably. Stock, on the other hand, is made by simmering bones and is left unseasoned.

How long do MAGGI® products last?
MAGGI® products have a long shelf life, but please check the expiration date on the package as it varies from product to product:
• Cubes – 24 months
• Bouillon Tomato based– 18 months
• Tablets and Granulated – 21 months
Do MAGGI® products need to be refrigerated or frozen?
All our products are shelf stable. For optimum shelf life, however, we recommend unused products be stored in a cool, dry, dark pantry. Because storage conditions in freezers or refrigerators may vary, we are unable to recommend refrigerated storage times once the product is prepared.
What is the best way to store prepared broth?
