A STORY BREWED SLOWLY





BOLD BEGINNINGS
We started in the '70s as Stewart Brothers Coffee, brewing surprisingly smooth coffee with just a 12-pound peanut roaster on Seattle's Pier 70.

BECOMING SEATTLE'S BEST COFFEE®
We soon moved to Vashon Island and made smooth-roasted coffee for stores across Seattle. After winning a competition, for the “best cup of coffee in Seattle” because of our notably smooth taste, we changed our name to Seattle’s Best Coffee®.

OUR FIRST BLEND AS SEATTLE'S BEST COFFEE®
Our inaugural signature blend was named after a cat named Henry who liked using our roasters to stay warm in the cold, Seattle winter. He soon became the inspiration for Henry’s Blend®, the first of many smooth blends we’d sell under our new name.
